Our Story
Our founder — a Chartered Accountant and former Chief Financial Officer with over 15 years of experience in the corporate sector, particularly across European organizations — had long witnessed the emotional and financial toll that layoffs take on employees. But in an unexpected turn of events, that distant concern soon became his own reality.
While serving in a senior leadership role with full access to internal systems, he uncovered a significant fraud within his organization. Choosing integrity over silence, he exposed the wrongdoing — and in doing so, stepped into a professional firestorm. Instead of protection, and despite doing the right thing, he found himself on the brink of unemployment.
But this story isn’t just about one individual. It’s about the many hardworking professionals who find themselves suddenly — and often without warning — without a job, without support, and without a plan. It is this shared struggle that inspired the creation of Layoff Foundations — a platform built to ensure no one faces these challenges alone.
